I went on a bit of a figure buying spree at the tail end of last year (Offers! VAT rises! Etc.), so this year I’m trying to be a little bit better about keeping the pledge. So far I’ve nearly (just got to do the bases) finished 15 figures (life outside of painting has been busy) and managed to buy only 6. Come Sunday I intend to be officially ahead of the game.
Since I was being reasonably successful, something had to give. It started when Tunbridge Wells Wargames Society threw their annual convention — Cavalier — ten minutes walk from my flat and I picked up a box from the rather nice Battlefield in a Box range.
Fast forward a couple of months and I’m now the proud owner of a pretty reasonable set of scenery. Things will be rather less bare the next time my table sees use as a battlefield.
