Steampunk Chronology

Via Angry Thoat, Krzysztof Janicz has published an excellent Steampunk Chronology.

This is probably the first attempt to reconstruct the history and evolution of the genre. I've assembled nearly 500 titles coming within contemporary definition of steampunk (or within one of many coexisting definitions): from modern sf, fantasy & horror set in the 19th century, through mad crossovers & pastiches, to alternate history and retro-futurism. "The Chronology of Steampunk" is a work in permanent progress.
